It rocked!! I had such a fun time! I totally didn’t want to leave when it was time! I loved the worship and ministry night! Being able to pray for others and worship God through songs was sooo much fun!! I already miss the time I had there….It was so much fun!! Being able to spend the last few days with Amelia before she leaves tomorrow, having discussions with my mom, worship, V-ball, hallway soccer, everything!! I want to go back right now!! It was amazing!

wow…How to say what God has done to my life? i literally made a 180 turn. Aron\’s message about having pockets of sin really convicted me. Mr Lewis\’ prophetic word probably convicted me the most, though. When he asked us to raise out hands, i knew that i should do that. After lots of prayers and tears with my mom, I accepted Christ into my heart!!! Even minutes after becoming a Christian, i already felt a change and my mom noticed one too. I not embarrassed and hesitant to talk about sin anymore, in fact, i\’m really eager!!!! It\’s easier for me to be accountable with my friends and mom! This is definetly the highlight of the retreat for me. God really changed my life and showed me my sin! He helped me see that i could only get rid of sin through His Son\’s death on the cross. I\’m amazed by Christ\’s sacrifice on the cross when HIS holy blood was split, when it should have been mine.

I’d have to say that the highlight for me was the Worship and Ministry Night. It was so evident that God was present there!

My highlights of the retreat were:
1) The reminder that Christ needs to be the center of our life and that if He is then life makes sense.
2) Meditating on God’s word in the mornings. I had never really grasped that Christ is in EVERY part of the bible and it was really amazing to be able to see it so clearly when looking for it. I also was REALLY encouraged and awed to walk in the mornings and see all around me people who loved Christ and were enjoying their time with Him that morning in His word.
3) The worship night!

I also benifitted from the meditation. I had never tried anything like that! So i\’ve started assigning myself verses to meditate on each morning. Right now i\’m doing Ephesians; this morning i did 1:1-14. for anyone who wants to meditate on God\’s word, i suggest starting in Isaiah or Ephesians! Romans is good too…and Psalms….oh whatever! all of the books in the bible are great! :p

Highlights? The entire time was awesome! But some of my favorite parts were:
1) Definitely the Worship and Ministry night. I really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, and singing worship songs for hours was wonderful!
2) All of the messages were very helpful
3) Hanging out and fellowship with my friends and getting to know people better.
4) Watching and playing volleyball
5) Staying up until 11:59 each night in the common roon with all the girls

Well, shooting Mr. Whitacre was definitely a highlight (just kidding)!
Serious highlights: playing paintball, soccer in High View, great conversations at meal times, volleyball tournament (For everyone on Team 10, thanks for playing; you were all very encouraging and humble, even when we lost).
The devotions each morning were very helpful and encouraged me to spend more time meditating each morning. Thanks Mr. Whitacre!
