X, Not Y

November 10, 2006 4:29 pm

Breaking news that any of you GirlTalk readers already know:

We learned yesterday that we are having a girl. She appears healthy and normal. Of course we are thrilled, and thanking God for this amazing gift. Jack is excited to be getting a little sister, but I don’t think he understands what we mean.

No name yet. Suggestions?

Yay for girls! :-D

There are a lot of names that I love, one of which is Brenna. I think it would go well with her brother’s name, and also with the last name Whitacre.

Congrats Steve, Nicole and Jack! I could give you a whole list of names but three of my favorites are: Zoe, Kylie, Alexis. There you have it, Congrats once again!!!

That is SO exciting! Just for the sake of a cute name, how about Jill. Then you’ll have Jack and Jill. :-)

Maybe you didn’t notice that it’s a girl Mr. T…..that would be why they are naming it Rachel!

And I was just thinking that only girls were commenting…

odd…
actually, not odd. girls and babies kinda go together.

I like German names - Amelie, Heidi, Katarina, etc. I also like my first and middle names - Hannah and Elizabeth. Those are my preferances, but why am I sharing them? If I like them so much, I should be planning on using them for my kids (if I have kids… somday…).

Oops, I meant “someday.”

I’m going to join Mr. Thorson in adding my male wisdom. I say Katherine.

Actually I know it is a girl. Lets go with Bob or you could say Bobbie. That is girl like don\’t you think. One other thought, what about Nick. This could be a shorten version of Nicole.

JoRo wrote a comment on November 20, 2006

I’m going to have to disagree with Mr. Thorson on this one. I think you can safely rule out Nicole, Megan, Susan, and Nancy. They’re nice names, but it’ll be too confusing. (You may want to cut out all the female names on the Mahaney side of the family, to make it even less confusing.)

Claire^R wrote a comment on November 20, 2006

But I like those names!

mo wrote a comment on November 21, 2006

maybe you could go for a nicole. i mean, jack is named after steve, right? so, name her after nicole and call her by her middle name, i don’t know what it is.

Claire^R wrote a comment on November 22, 2006

Hey, that’s a creative idea!
