Now, here’s a problem that five weeks ago it didn’t look like we would have:

The Redskins have made it into the playoffs!

That’s great news for Redskins fans everywhere. It’s bad news for youth pastors who have five15 meetings scheduled at the same time. But not really. Here’s the fun part about being in charge: I’ve decided that we’re going to watch the game together.

I can’t promise we’ll do this every time the Redskins make the playoffs, but we’re going to take our BIG MEETING and move it to 1/19 (middle school students take note!), and we’re making Saturday night a five15 football extravaganza. Here’s the plan:

• WHO: five15 High School and Middle School students and their parents. (Of course this is optional if you are not into football.) Bring a friend that doesn’t go to church! Think of this as an Each One Reach One opportunity.
• WHERE: the usual. We’ll project the game on the big screen and have ping-pong and foosball setup for those less interested.
• WHEN: Saturday, 4pm.
• EATS: We’ll be selling pizza and soda like we normally do.
• BRING: A snack (like an unopened bag of chips or Oreos or something). We’ll have this stuff out throughout the game.
