New Music

A couple new albums you might be interested in:

psalms.jpg

First, from Sovereign Grace Music: the Psalms CD.  A wonderful, worshipful collection of songs taken from and inspired by the Psalms.  Hard not to like “You Will Never Change”, “Taste and See”, “Blessed is the One”, and more.

Second, The Process of the Pardon by Voice aka Curtis Allen.  If you like rap, you should buy this CD.  If you don’t like rap, you should buy this CD so you can learn to like rap.  Because you should like this rap.  I doubt you’ll find (m)any albums that are more theologically robust and accurate.  Who else is singing — let alone rapping — about the ordo salutis?  If you don’t know what the ordo salutis is, look it up in Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology.  Or just listen to Voice interview Dr. Grudem’s on track 11.

Get these CDs!  But not too fast.  We’ll be giving some away on the retreat.

Anyone listening to this stuff?  What do you think of it?

One Response to “New Music”

I love Curtis Allen’s stuff…what’s funny is, I tend to be really picky about rap (I like for the music to be as melodic as possible), but Voice’s lyrics are SO good that my attention isn’t focused so much on the sound as the message! I like how his lyrics give me a lot to think about. I can’t wait to check out the new CD!
