I found myself wishing I’d brought extra socks - mine got wet because the grass was wet in the morning - then they were really uncomfortable to wear. (Thankfully some friends let me borrow some of theirs)
Extra socks (and extras for other clothes) are a good idea to bring.
A fan is a good idea. If it’s cooler this year, I’ll just use the fan for white noise and leave the unit off as sometimes AC is too loud for me.
Ear plugs if you’re with snoring type peoples.
2 more things I thought of:
Snacks for in between meals - especially if you’re like me and feel dizzy when you get hungry. I recommend ones that are high in protein.
Bring a camera! Whether you’re taking pictures of scenery or friends, you’ll be glad you did. (I was!)
if you like to get up early and read your bible outside, then i would bring a sweatshirt. it was a little frigid in the morning.
oh, i forgot to say
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! AND CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!
:)
thanks steve and terri and everybody else who worked SO hard to get everything ready for the retreat.
Don’t forget to bring a watch or portable alarm clock to help you wake up in the morning (or to make sure you wake up in the morning :-)). It’s no fun getting up late and running down as breakfast is finishing, or having to rush through your devotions.
girls (or guys haha) remember it’s hot so bring extra clothes. you will probably feel disgusting by the afternoon and will want to change. and also extra towels/washcloths since they only give you one each.
