I’m hearing that there is a lot of standing water on the roads, and even some road closures, so as always: be careful and be smart.  Don’t try to drive your four-foot high Civic through five feet of standing water.  (I once read that less than six inches of swiftly moving water is enough to move a car off the road!)  So be careful, and if you can’t make it - download the audio this week.

I prayed for you guys today from Proverbs 2:6-8,

“For the Lord gives wisdom;
  from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
  he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice
  and watching over the way of his saints.”

My prayer is that you would gain knowledge.  But even more than that, that you would get wisdom.  Those aren’t the same things.  Of course I want you to learn at school, but as you are learning, I’m asking God to help you grow in wisdom: in how to apply the truth of God’s Word in ways that are pleasing to God.  I’m also praying that God would help you:

• To be diligent in your studies
• To be courageous in evangelism
• To honor your parents in all things
• To faithfully meet with God every day
• To remember the gospel in everything you do
