In the case of inclement weather, Co-op will follow Fairfax County Schools for delayed openings and closings.
If Fairfax County Schools are closed:
- All Co-op classes are cancelled. Teachers may contact their students with any assignments to complete for the following week.
If Fairfax County Schools are opening one or two hours late:
- Co-op starts at 10:10 AM (period 2) (on Thursdays). All first period classes are cancelled (9:00 to 10:00 AM). Teachers may contact their students with any assignments to complete for the following week.
- On Tuesdays, the 8:30 AM classes will be cancelled. The 9:30 classes will begin at 10:00 and will run for only one hour. The 11:00 classes will be held at their regular time (and regular duration).
- If Co-op has a delayed start, but your family finds the roads in your area too dangerous to make it in, please stay at home.

Next Thursday – November 20th – we’re having a “Formal” Dress-up Day at Co-op! Come dressed in your most formal attire! There will also be a bake sale! All proceeds from the bake sale will help defray the cost of the yearbook. The yearbook team welcomes and is grateful for any donations of baked goods for the sale. Just bring it on Thursday. (And bring your loose change as well!)
For your formal attire, please be modest! No bare shoulders. Girls dress like girls, and guys dress like guys. Prizes will be given!
If you have any questions, contact Susan.

Quick Reminder from Vince: If you’re a member of the church, we’d like to get your signed copy of the Membership Commitment turned in by the end of August. Extra copies are available at the Welcome Center and there will be copies on the stage after the meeting. I know that some of you still have questions about the document so I’d like to encourage you to please meet with one of the pastors either after the Sunday meeting or set up a time to come in and see us. We consider it a blessing and a privilege to serve the Lord with you.

The “official” home ed graduation date, effective this year and onward, is the first Saturday after Memorial Day weekend. The old policy was the first Saturday in June but that got problematic because of New Attitude. So, this coming year, the graduation date is May 30, 2009.
